Championship Q/F: Fr Mathews 49 – 30 Limerick Lions

Limerick Lions came into this game with a good pedigree as they had won the All Ireland C Club Finals at the end of last season. Mathews were expecting a tough battle and they got it for the most part. While Mathews never went behind in the game the outside shooting of the Limerick side always proved a threat.

Mathews were in control throughout, however, and Coaches Lloyd Fitzgerald and Garrett Buttimer used their entire squad to good effect in the game.
In the end the strength in depth of Mathews in all areas of the court proved too much for the Limerick side as the Cork side scored at will from inside while the outside shooting of their guards had the Lions defence stretched throughout.

On a further bright note Mathews welcome back Killian Lane in the next couple of weeks from injury and his addition to the squad will make for an even stronger panel for Mathews as they head into the Christmas period.
